Each of the links you decide to build will point to a specific page on eBay, so you’ll need to decide on this first and foremost. What do you want to promote? Should the link go to an item, a search results page, a category page, or the eBay home page? You’ll want to pick whatever you think will resonate the most with your audience.

Next, you need to decide where you are going to place your affiliate link. Is it on your website, in your mobile app, or your social media feed? The combination of what you’re promoting and where you’re promoting it is an important consideration to ensure you get the best possible results.

If you are planning on placing links in a lot of different places, or plan on promoting a wide variety of items on eBay, you may want to use multiple campaigns to segment your traffic. You can choose which Campaign ID to use in the links when you create the link using our link building tools.

Once you’ve decided what you’ll link to and where you plan to place it, you can use one of our tools to create the link. Our suggestion is that you don’t modify anything in the link after you generate it with our tools, as we cannot guarantee everything will work properly if our links are modified.

Now that you’ve created your links and you've posted them, you’ll want to evaluate performance so you can see what’s working best and where. You can do this with the “Performance By…” and Transaction Detail reports available on our platform. Using this data will help determine which links are receiving the most clicks and generating the most commissions. With this information, you can further optimize performance by making adjustments to your links and their placements.
